In addition to the Chromatic Scale, students must play two selections from the above list. One must contain at least sixteen measures of six eight time with a variety of rhythms.

If your child was in band elsewhere and didn’t use the Essential Elements 2000 method, he or she may play something from the book he or she already has. Page 29 #141 is the song, “Greensleaves.” It may be in your child’s current band method book. If not, your child may play something comparable. |
