private lessons

Private lessons are being offered to band members for the Summer of 2009.

These lessons are geared to students that wish to participate in Honor Band tryouts or Solo and Ensemble competitions. (Very helpful for percussion players.)

Also, if your child started band in January 2009, or was in band elsewhere, didn’t finish a full year of band, and wishes to participate in our 2009-2010 program, this summer program will help him/her to catch up.

The lessons will all be held at First United Methodist Church (1520 Blackburn, Sachse, Texas). Lessons dates are as follows: (Thursday) June 18, (Tuesdays) June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18.

Lessons will be held from 10:00am-12:00noon and 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Tuition for private lessons: $25.00 per week for a thirty minute lesson per week.
A parent that wishes to take the lesson along with their child, will pay $5.00 in addition to their child’s tuition. Parents are teachers!

We will schedule lessons on a first come, first serve basis.

Mrs. Whitson will be teaching all students unless the numbers demand that we bring in other teachers.
