Any age can be the “right age” to begin studying music as long as the music lessons are fun and the student can be successful. We provide instruction in music beginning in first grade because this is a good age for a child to begin learning music concepts in levels. Older children will quickly pick up these concepts and will also learn music concepts for their grade levels.

Orientation day is extremely important for new students. Because of the nature of this session there will be no charge. The Elementary class will be given an overview so that parents and students may see what this class is all about. Experiences in this class will benefit the children who wish to participate later on, in choral singing, band, or orchestra.

Beginning band students will be given an opportunity to try the instruments to see what they like and what they would have success playing. IMPORTANT: Be sure to see the band information. A quality instrument is of utmost importance. The music stores listed can help you.

All returning band members will audition for the appropriate band class.
