Audition Instructions
Band members enrolling for Intermediate or Concert Band will audition on the following:
Intermediate: Essential Elements 2000, Book 1, p. 185. No repeats.
Concert: Essential Elements 2000, Book 2. p. 29, #141 and p. 40. No repeats.
Note: If your child was in band elsewhere and didn't use this book series, your child may play something comparable from the method he/she already has. Page 29, #141 is the song "Greensleaves". It will likely be in your child's current band method. If not, then your child should select something in six eight time. You may view the above books at any of the music stores listed on this website. Purchase, at this point, is not necessary.
